MEchanochEMIcal SynthESIS of BISMuth fErrItE, preparation of phase-pure bismuth ferrite is reported to be difficult. During synthesis, the kinetics of formation always leads to a mixture of BiFeO 3 as a major phase along with the impurity phases such as Bi 2 Fe 4 O 9 and Bi 25 FeO 39.
